| Section The ICRC in Lesotho This country is covered by the regional delegation in South AfricaThe ICRC in South Africa The ICRC supports Lesotho's national committee for international humanitarian law (IHL) in its efforts to ensure implementation of relevant treaties and raise awareness of this body of law. More than 100 law students at Lesotho's National University cover IHL as part of their course. For 2004 the university has agreed to develop an introductory course on IHL and human rights for students in all faculties. The ICRC cooperates with the Lesotho Red Cross in these dissemination activities and supports training and capacity-building efforts. Delegates from the regional delegation make annual visits to people detained in Lesotho. No documents found |
