    Pakistan is in the throes of a severe humanitarian crisis owing to the hostilities between the Pakistani army and armed groups in the Malakand Division of the North-West Frontier Province. The crisis has left hundreds of thousands of residents stranded and triggered a massive wave of displacement, estimated at 2.5 million people.
