Summary:
This Act establishes and recognizes the National Red Cross Society, sets out its objectives and defines its governing bodies. Subsection 8 (1) authorizes the use of the red cross emblem and denomination by the National Society in conformity with the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols and Subsection 8 (2) makes an offence of any use of the red cross emblem and denomination (including the use of colourable imitations of the red cross emblem) that is not authorized under the provisions of the Conventions and Protocols.
