Your task
After an initial training period of six to twelve months at ICRC headquarters in Geneva, your main responsibilities as a team support will be to assist the management of one of our delegations in the field and to run its secretariat independently. In this capacity, you will be in charge of
- managing the flow of information at the delegation (paper and electronic correspondence)
- managing the delegation's documents
- training/supervising and/or managing small teams of national employees attached to the secretariat
- helping the teams in the field to use office tools and manage the flow of information
Selection requirements
- ideal age: 25 to 35
- prepared to accept unaccompanied postings for the first two missions (minimum 12 months each)
- excellent writing skills in both English and French
- commercial diploma, diploma in secretarial work or equivalent
- three to four years’ secretarial experience
- computer literacy in using standard IT equipment (Microsoft or ECDL certificate an asset)
- driving licence (for manual transmission vehicles)
