Souvenir of Solferino – special edition
This is the "collector's edition" of Henry Dunant's ground-breaking book, which he published in 1862 and which laid the foundations of the Red Cross Movement and the Geneva Conventions.

Un souvenir de Solferino; followed by a facsimile of the autographed manuscript of the seventh edition by Henry Dunant, Slatkine ed., Geneva, 1980, XVII + 115 p., maps, ill., 31 cm, French / Price CHF 38.- / ref. 0361F

Handsomely bound, the volume contains a reproduction of the first edition of the book, with a colour map of the battle of Solferino. There is also a facsimile of Dunant's revised manuscript for the 7th edition, published in 1902 (the year after he received the first Nobel Peace Prize). An introduction by Roger Durand and Philippe M. Monnier describes the publishing history of the book.
