Last December's tsunami left about 500,000 people displaced in Indonesia's Aceh province. In Banda Aceh, the health infrastructure was badly hit with many of the 'puskesmas' (primary health care centres) destroyed. In January, the ICRC, together with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and Norwegian Red Cross, set up a 100-bed field hospital in the Lhong Raya stadium.
