Kenya/Sudan : Lopiding hospital, 1987-2006, in pictures
Selection of hi-res photos of the ICRC's biggest field surgical hospital. Based at Lokichokio, in northern Kenya, Lopiding hospital was established to care for war-wounded from southern Sudan, and has treated some 40,000 patients. It was handed over to the Kenyan authorities on 30 June 2006.
